The system is integrated into the Enterprise Banking Application to monitor customers’ trade transactions (export, import and invisible trades), alerts the customer via SMS and provides web-based Customer Portal for reporting. Such timely alerting information increases bank customers’ satisfaction through effective communication as well as bank- customer relationship and confidence. Some of the transactions progress information attracts request and additional information from the customer. The Customer Portal provision was made available via the bank’s website. The customer can view or download details of the life cycle of the transaction. The system model was implemented using ASP.NET 2002 .NET Framework 1.0, ADO.NET, CSS, HTML, SMTP, JavaScript, Triggers and on Oracle 9i as backend. Currently migrated into ASP.NET 2005 with .NET Framework 2.0 and SQL Server 2005 as backend. Ø Key team member in the technical/functional design, development and implementation of a web-based bank customer statement of account generating system for major oil companies (prime customers). The architectural design of the system was optimized to facilitate the different request of these customers as either daily automatic bank statement distribution via e-mail or download from the bank’s website. Developed the Oracle SQL statements to analyze all financial transactions (debit and credit) for the statement. The project provides the statement in HTML, CSV, Excel or XML format using the parameter query string in .NET technology. A prototype of this project was developed using ASP.NET Web Services protocol to produce an XML statement for Shell Production Development Corporation. This intelligent system monitor’s the SWIFT Alliance Server for incoming transaction messages type MT103, MT940 and MT950 (foreign financial payment instructions), reads the message, merges and validates the data applying bank’s set rules and sending the transactions to the enterprise banking application. Quality and efficiency in processing a very high-traffic inward fund transfer transactions for the bank was achieved. This was implemented using VB 6.0, ODBC, Oracle 9i as backend and Crystal Report 8.5 for reporting. The designed rules put the transactions into various statuses pending a processing officer’s input if necessary, or approval officer verifying the records, and finally an upload officer uploading into the banking application. This project was recognized by the Management for the monitoring of Central Bank’s transaction of $10,000,00 and above. Developed Oracle triggers for the application. Ø Performed the analysis, design and implementation of Western Union Dollar Monitoring Package. This application forecasts Dollar allocation based on consumption pattern, interfaces with Enterprise Banking application’s Oracle database to verify Dollar position and allocation to over 350 branches of the bank. It is implemented using VB 6.0, ODBC, Oracle 9i as backend and crystal report 8.5 for reporting. A prototype of the application was built on MS Access database before porting to Oracle 9i as backend. Ø Responsible for analysis, design and implementation of Shell Vendor Application. This application reads SWIFT message types MT101 text file, validates the data, creates and FTPs the output file to the enterprise banking application. The message type is specifically for processing a very large volume of payment transactions made by Shell Producing Development Corporation to their vendors and staff in various banks in the country. File outputs are a text file format for banking application upload and an XML file format for InterSwitch Autopay application. Enhancement on the project was to review outputting a .csv file format to be processed through Overseas InterBank System. Environment: Visual Basic 6.0, ODBC, Crystal Report 8.5, Windows 2000 Professional, AIX Unix Server and Oracle 9i database. A prototype of the application was built on MS Access before migrating to Oracle 9i as backend. Ø Team player in generating customer transaction alert for the bank. I developed a module to generate on daily basis a MS Excel extraction of statement for Coca Cola Company from Finacle Enterprise banking application database. The statement is send as an attachment to the beneficiary via e-mail. It is implemented using Visual Basic 6.0, ODBC, Oracle 9i and MS Server 2000 databases. Ø Key member in the functional and technical design and development of the Electronic Financial Auditing and Surveillance System (eFASS) reporting system from the bank’s MIS database. The system is used to render regulatory returns in MS Excel format to banking regulatory authority. It was implemented using VB 6.0, ODBC and Oracle 9i database. This application is an interface that connects to the MIS database to spool data and to generate an Excel of various report types. It is a parameter driven system. Ø Conducted analysis, design and implementation of a web-based Customer Intersol Salary Processing System. The system reads customer salary schedules in either a text or a MS Excel input format, validates the account in the enterprise banking application’s database and FTPs a text file output to be applied into banking application. This application was adjudged one of the best product in giving the bank an edge over competitors in customers’ salary processing. It is implemented bank-wide. It attracted efficiency, low turn around time and customers’ satisfaction with the high volume salary payment from both private and public sectors. The success of implementing the application was achieved using ASP.NET (.NET Framework 1.0), ADO.NET, CSS, Microsoft Excel 2000, HTML and Oracle 9i database. Interfaces Microsoft Access 2000 database to the Oracle database via ODBC for easy development data analysis and database amendment. Ø Responsible for analysis, design and implementation of a web-based Pension Fund Administration System. The application captures pension administrator’s payment schedule in MS Excel format as input, validates the payment instrument in the enterprise banking application’s database and sends the schedule in a comma separated values, .csv, to the pension fund management application’s server. The feat was achieved using ASP.NET (.NET Framework 1.0), ADO.NET, CSS, HTML, Microsoft Excel 2000, FTP and Oracle 9i database. The system automatically FTPs the output file to the pension fund management application server. Ø Performed the analysis, design and implementation of Custom Duty Collection System. This application is to collect custom duties for the government, and was implemented using Visual Basic 6.0, ODBC, Oracle 9i (backend) and Crystal Report 8.5 as reporting tool. The application provides for various enquiries on custom duty collections and generates reports Ø Conducted the design and implementation of upload utility to generate text file format output for routine upload of various financial transactions into the enterprise banking application. It was implemented using VB 6.0, ODBC and Oracle 9i database. This application is an interface that connects to the database to fetch data or take as input an Excel file and to generate a text file for upload into enterprise banking application. Ø Team member in the development and implementation of Integrated Cheque Management System. Responsible for the maintenance of the cheque printing desktop module and participated in the project implementation.
