Job Description 

This is a position in the Systems Engineering (software development) group for a major 
audit application. The person will be responsible for designing and implementing various 
application components, using Microsoft .Net and SQL Server, as well as evaluating new 
technologies as needed. The person will work closely with other members of the team, 
including business analysts, team leads, system testing, infrastructure, and project 
management. The person must have the ability to work independently on assignments with 
minimal supervision. In addition, the person should possess the ability to both create 
and clearly articulate the optimal design to meet the project objectives.

Requirements

•	5+ years of solid hands-on experience developing distributed or client-server 
applications using all or almost all of the following technologies
•	Object Oriented Analysis and Design, .NET (C#, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, Win Forms)
•	SQL Server (stored procedures, TSQL, schema design), XML, HTML 
•	.NET Remoting Required 
•	Application development experience in Microsoft Windows 2000/XP, SQL Server 2000 
(SQL Server 2005 preferred) and Visual Studio.NET (VS 2005 preferred) environment 
•	Additional desired skills: RUP/UML, MSOffice, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, and 
ADO.Net. 
•	2+ year of extensive hands-on experience with .Net/C# 
•	Proficient in enterprise architecture, web services, and/or internet security 
•	Understand software development life cycle 
•	Must work well in team environment
•	Strong verbal and written communications skills. Capable of working directly 
with business clients 
•	Computer Science/Engineering degree preferred



Responsibilities:
The selected candidate’s responsibilities include
•	Reviews supporting documents (System Requirement Specification [SRS], User 
Interface Specification, High-Level design, etc*) for the assigned work
•	Seeks input from the Product Planning and Architecture Teams to understand and 
support the SRS and High-Level Design 
•	Creates the Detailed Design of software components and Unit Test Cases; adheres 
to the Application Design Guidelines and conducts the first level review of the Detailed 
Design 
•	Develops the code base and implements unit test cases for assigned software 
components; adheres to the coding standards and conducts the first level code review 
•	Supports the existing code base with defect fixes and new enhancements
•	Executes unit test cases on all assigned software components 
•	Raises and documents issues that need resolution 
•	Accountable for delivery of assigned project milestones 
•	Provides peer level technical support to the Systems Engineering staff, which 
may include reviewing the code and unit test cases/results of the other team members
