POSITION SUMMARY:
The Oracle SOA Developer/Architect works within the technology organization, reporting
directly to the Application Development Manager. The Oracle SOA Developer/Architect will
be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supporting the SOA platform for
the Oracle Business applications which support all departments with client. The role
requires the ability to work jointly with the development and operations team as well as
with outside consultants, systems integrators, and a variety of corporate functional teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education – B.A/B.S. in computer science, information systems, or computer engineering.
Certification in SOA Architecture preferred.
Experience – Bachelors degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or
related field) or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.
3-5 years experience in SOA Platform Architecture and Development, including 2 years
working with Oracle Enterprise Applications.
Significant knowledge and experience designing and developing Enterprise Service Bus/ SOA
/Integration Tier Architecture (BPEL/Business Process Orchestration, Web Services, J2EE)
Experience with Oracle SOA Suite
Experience with Oracle EBS 11i and/or r12
Experience with Oracle JDeveloper
Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architectures.
Strong background in systems architecture and relevant technologies, including portal
technologies, middleware technologies, and J2EE.
Strong skills in Services Design Best Practices, Service Performance Monitoring, Service
Performance Tuning, Service Interface Specifications
Strong Object Oriented skills using open architecture standards as well as best practices,
design principles, and techniques with regards to: BPEL, UML, WSDL, JDBC, SQL, XML / XSL,
SOAP, Web Services.
Other Skills or Abilities – Excellent PC skills to include Microsoft Office. Strong
understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
Excellent customer and communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate and
interact with all staff. Must be able to demonstrate use of a systematic approach in
solving problems through analysis of problem and evaluation of alternate solutions.
Ability to start and persist with specific courses of action while exhibiting high
motivation and a sense of urgency. Must be able to work flexible hours when needed.
Ability to work with people in such a manner as to build high morale and group commitments
to goals and objectives.
